We deal with Settlement Agreements which are legally binding contracts made between an employer and an employee and usually entered into at the termination of employment.

A Settlement Agreement will usually provide that, in return for a payment, the employee will give up the right to pursue any claims against the employer through the Employment Tribunal or Courts.  The Agreement must be in writing and the employee must have received advice from an independent adviser on its terms and effects before deciding whether to enter into it.

We can offer the independent advice that is required.  Employers will usually make a fixed contribution towards the costs of independent advice (usually around £250-£350 plus VAT @ 20%) and we will attempt to work within the budget set by the employer.
